ART NIBBLE
One of the things I always looked forward to, back when I was still on payroll at an agency, where the weekly show and tells.
All producers and creatives would flock into the meeting room, exited to look at the latest books, reels and portfolios. It was always inspiring and a nice break from the day to day workflow.
Then came the pandemic and these meetings moved to zoom. Little by little these time slots where no longer sacred, and became filled with other meetings, ones we could not skip.
By the time most of us were back to working in offices I had become freelance and usually too busy to take the time to join in.
To fill this void I started to meet with agents and production companies outside of work.
I was very grateful that they would take the time to meet me in the evenings. I realised though, that if all freelancers would do the same, all of us would be spending less time with our friends and family.
After some brainstorming the solution seemed to be as simple as starting little events where the freelance agency- and brand community gets invited to come to the studios for a drink, a nibble and a creative sampling of the latest work.
Without any centralised point of contact for all freelancers in London, and a constant chase to update their ever changing email addresses, it became clear that the best way for me to support this was to start an online calendar and community.

As a creative, producer or art buyer, having agents and production companies drop by the agency to show new books, reels and portfolios is always a highlight — I always looked forward to it!

That’s where Art Nibble comes in.
We’re kick-starting a fun new habit for the industry: show-and-tell evenings where production companies, photo and illustration agents, and other creative suppliers invite the freelance community to drop in, grab a drink, and get a taste of their latest work — portfolios, showreels, talks, presentations and all.
